Lisa F. Platt, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Counseling Psychology
Dr. Lisa Platt received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Penn State University in 2008. She is currently an assistant professor of Counseling Psychology at West Virginia University. She is also a licensed psychologist in West Virginia. Dr. Platt’s research specializes in multicultural psychology, with a focus on sexual orientation, gender, and gender diversity topics. Much of Dr. Platt's recent research has explored gender diverse family relationships, such as transgender partnerships. Dr. Platt identifies as an ally and advocate for social justice considerations.
