American Rehabilitation Counseling Association (ARCA)
The Student Rehabilitation Counseling Association / WVU Chapter of the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association (ARCA) is a support group for graduate students. It provides liaison with the faculty and opportunities for networking between students and rehabilitation professionals. It’s also an advocacy group in the support of disability rights atWVU and the community at large.
We encourage experience sharing among students and highlight relevant practicum, internship, or work experiences with members. We often offer volunteer services to community organizations and invite guest speakers on professional topics.
Members of the WVU chapter are also members of the national organization and receive its journals and publications. Visit the ARCA website, for more information.
Speak Out Reach Out
The mission of the Speak Out Reach Out student organization is to enhance the appreciation, awareness, and discussion of diversity and traditionally marginalized groups at WVU through workshops, forums, presentations, trainings, advocacy, and local/university outreach initiatives. We also aim to foster a supportive environment for individuals either representing or interested in diverse backgrounds.
